The company has many ways of offering training. When new products come out, Close To My Heart puts together classes to teach us how to us how to use them. These classes are found in a large "Training Academy" where you can earn your virtual Bachelor's, Master's and PhD! They also make short video tutorials that you can watch, and even share with your friends and customers. Consultants can also attend events where they offer hands-on learning (and free product!)
At unit meetings, like the ones put on by local leaders, they try to feature a technique that consultants can take away and use in their own scrapbooking and/or business. I try to attend whenever possible and use a team facebook page to post the projects and photos online for long distance members of our team. Some team members offer to speak or teach topics that they are passionate about.
This is the winner of one of our unit art contests! I try to host these to enage people in using the new products. Everyone votes on the winner and as part of the contest, Everyone makes 10 cards to swap and gets 10 new cards back to take home. So, kind of, EVERYONE is a winner!
We learn from each other, and that goes beyond team meetings. Pictured at left is a group of ladies that are sharing dinner and a swap from a recent catalog release. They learn different things and use different products to share with each other. They have also become friends, and that is by far the biggest benefit to joining a team.
