I started scrapbooking back in the early 80's, when I was in Junior High. My mother and father were both teachers and I would use their classroom stickers and colored paper to make backgrounds and pages for my photos. WOW - were those pages and photos homely!! Scrapbooking has come a long way, hasn't it? I am so in love with the creative industry, and also with the new technology that allows us to get such amazing photographs of our lives and loves.
I started stamping about ten years ago, when I moved to Michigan. I had shelves and shelves of wooden stamps and honestly, when someone asked me to go to a Close To My Heart party, I refused. I didn't WANT To try something new. I did eventually go...but just for the food of course.
Fortunately for me, the gal doing the party was AMAZING and I fell in love with the clear acrylix stamps and alphabets (thanks Sara!). I signed up just for those alphabet stamps, but it became so much more. The products were undeniably the best I had tried and my starter kit contained enough awe to carry me from curiosity to real consultant. The rest, as they say, is history.

Close To My Heart has taught me not to be afraid of new things or new people. I have met amazing friends and learned so much. I love teaching others about the joy and healing of scrapbooking. As I look toward the future, with the support of my amazing husband and kids, I hope to branch out and try even more things within the scrapbooking, art and photography worlds. I look forward to sharing this journey with you.
